NASCAR driver Dale Earnhardt Jr. prepares to sign autographs before qualifying for the Camping World RV 400 auto race at Kansas Speedway in Kansas City, Kan., Friday, Sept. 26, 2008. Time is running out for Dale Earnhardt Jr. to thrust himself into championship contention. Fortunately for NASCAR's most popular driver, his chance to get back into the mix comes at a track where he's been successful.
