Johnson holds off Edwards, takes points lead (AP)

Jimmie Johnson leads Carl Edwards in the Camping World RV 400 NASCAR Sprint Cup Series auto race at Kansas Speedway on Sunday, Sept. 28, 2008, in Kansas City, Kan. Johnson won the race and took over the points lead in the Chase for the championship.

Racing down the back straightaway behind Jimmie Johnson on the final lap, Carl Edwards decided his only chance at victory was a desperation move.
